On Saturday, April 8th, 2006 I arrived in Cordoba, Argentina, not knowing how long I would call this place home. I got my bags, exited the terminal and saw no one waiting for me in the parking area. It was then the reality struck me that in the missionary life there would be times of loneliness, yet be marked by a deep sense of God’s continual presence, and that there would be times of loneliness. It also reminded me that one of the best qualities a missionary can have is being resourceful and seeking ways to solve problems. Eventually my friends arrived to pick me up.

In the past 20 years I have, along with the help of others, been able to see a small Bible study group for university students start and grow, a new seminary founded that now has over 500 students from all over the globe, and athletes encouraged to live out their faith through forming a new sports ministry focused on producing resources. Recently, after considering the need in the area we live, we started a project to plant a church in our neighborhood. Although God has time in His control, we foresee this being roughly a 5-7 year project, and after that we will analyze whether God is calling us to stay on as missionaries here or if He has something else in store.

Together with my wife and kids, we want to thank you for playing a key role in all the work that has been done over the past 20 years. At times it has been emotionally difficult to depend on donations in order to live and work here in Argentina, but God has been very faithful thanks to people like you.

Although we just started the church planting project last August, we have already learned that this is not easy work. We would greatly appreciate it if you would take a minute to pray for our family and the church plant.

Again, thank you for being a part of what we have been able to do in Argentina for the past 20 years. Our newsletters sent out over the past 10 years are up on our website in case you want to relive some of the ministry highlights: https://www.jacksonsinargentina.com/newsletters
